a)

Select a pattern file with the File menu.

Select X variable from the list 'Network inputs', then click on the 'X>>' button.

c)

Select Y variable from the same list, then click on the 'Y>>' button.

d)

If the network has multiple outputs, select an output from the list 'Network outputs'.

e)

Click on the 'Fire Network' button to calculate the output values.

f)

Click on the 'Draw 3D surface' button to display the surface formed by the network output.
