_bm49Spreadsheet File Export - Detail

This module allows you to export the data from a NeuroShell 2 internal file into a spreadsheet file with a LOTUS 1-2-3 .WK1 or Microsoft Excel .XLS extension.  (Microsoft Excel 4 or below worksheet files only.)

The module defaults to exporting the .OUT file from the current problem.  Use the File Menu, Select Pattern File option, to select a different file.  Also use the File Menu to select the spreadsheet that will receive the data.

The user must specify which columns in the designated spreadsheet will receive data from the NeuroShell 2 internal file.  (If the spreadsheet designated to receive data from the NeuroShell 2 internal file is blank, there is no need to use the File Export module because the NeuroShell 2 file is already in spreadsheet format.  The Spreadsheet File Export module will not send data to a blank spreadsheet, nor create a new spreadsheet.)

Column Export Mode

Overwrite existing cells: Selecting this option allows the Spreadsheet File Export module to replace data in the designated columns in the spreadsheet with data from the NeuroShell 2 internal file.  If you do not check this option, the spreadsheet data will not be changed unless the cell is empty.

Create spreadsheet backup file: Selecting this option makes a copy of the existing spreadsheet before any changes are made.  The option adds a $ as the last character of the spreadsheet file suffix.  For example, if the existing spreadsheet has a .WK1 file extension, the backup copy will have a .WK$ extension.

Spreadsheet File Label Row

Click on the appropriate button(s) in the Spreadsheet File Label Row box to specify which columns in the designated spreadsheet will receive data from the NeuroShell 2 internal file.

The module defaults to exporting the .OUT file of the NeuroShell 2 problem currently in use to a .WK1 or Excel 4 .XLS file.  Use the File Menu to select a different file or to view the file.

Select the Export Menu to begin converting the spreadsheet. Also use this menu to interrupt the conversion procedure.
